The Under-19 girls’ team of the Maharashtra Cricket Association achieved a remarkable milestone by winning the 2025–26 edition of the Women’s Under-19 One Day Trophy Elite, capping off the tournament with a flawless campaign.
Maharashtra dominated the competition throughout the season, remaining unbeaten with eight victories in eight matches, showcasing consistency, discipline, and depth across all departments of the game.
In the final against Gujarat Cricket Association, Maharashtra produced a confident run chase to secure the championship. Chasing a competitive target of 223 runs, the team displayed composure and strong batting performances from the top and middle order.
Jeeya Singh led the scoring with a well-crafted 57, while Sahyadri Kadam contributed a valuable 48 to keep the innings on track. The chase was anchored by a match-winning unbeaten knock of 54 by Akshaya Jadhav, who guided the team towards the target with maturity under pressure. Providing the final flourish was Bhavika Ahire, whose explosive 46 runs off just 29 balls ensured Maharashtra crossed the finish line comfortably.
The comprehensive victory not only sealed the national title but also highlighted the growing strength of women’s cricket development within Maharashtra.
