The Under-15 girls’ team of the Maharashtra Cricket Association delivered a commendable performance in the 2025–26 edition of the Women’s Under-15 One Day Trophy Elite, finishing as runners-up after a closely contested final against Mumbai Cricket Association.

Maharashtra displayed determination and competitive spirit throughout the tournament to secure a place in the final. In the summit clash, Maharashtra posted a total of 176 runs, anchored by an impressive innings of 82 by Sanskruti Ghortale, who led the batting effort with composure and resilience.

Despite the fighting total, Mumbai managed to successfully chase the target, reaching the required score with one over remaining, thereby clinching the title.

While the final result did not go in Maharashtra’s favour, the tournament highlighted exceptional individual performances from the team. Aaradhya Pawar emerged as one of the standout players of the competition and was deservedly named Player of the Tournament. Demonstrating remarkable all-round ability, she scored 320 runs across nine innings and also claimed seven wickets, playing a crucial role in Maharashtra’s journey to the final.

The team’s strong showing in the tournament, coupled with Aaradhya Pawar’s outstanding all-round performance, reflects the growing strength and depth of girls’ cricket within Maharashtra. The campaign stands as another encouraging step in the continued development of young women cricketers under the guidance of the Maharashtra Cricket Association.
