The stadium’s impressive South Stand, serving as the Main Pavilion, was an engineering marvel, involving the use of 6000 metric tonnes of steel. Designed by renowned architect Sir Michael Hopkins, the stadium stands as a testament to modern construction methods and quality.
MCA Stadium prioritizes the playing conditions and spectator experience, with a sand-based outfield specially designed to minimize interruptions caused by rain. MCA’s in-house knowledge and assistance from the Sports Turf Research Institute UK contributed to the implementation of an efficient drainage system. The outfield features Bermuda grass and a pop-up automatic sprinkler system, ensuring rapid recovery even after heavy showers.

To enhance the spectator experience, four impressive lighting masts equipped with 50 square meter LED screens from BARCO Belgium display replays, bringing the action closer to the crowd. Fully automated turnstiles, P.A systems, CCTV security, and a modern venue operations center ensure a safe and well-coordinated event.

The facility includes 38 sanitary blocks located conveniently throughout the stadium, a dedicated water pipeline connected to the Pavana river, and a water treatment plant from ION EXCHANGE ensuring access to potable water.
